Good Listeners

It is said that there are 2 contrasting sorts of people. Those who take pleasure in speaking endlessly of themselves, the ego-centric, and those who are good listeners. Who would rather listen.
I disagree.
There are, of course, those who consider themselves to be the centre of the world. And then, there are those who are simply too shy or embarrassed to speak of themselves. The latter leave themselves with no option but to listen, unless one encourages them to speak.
If there truly exists one who prefers to listen with interest and without any egoistical motivation, that is no ordinary person.
